The audio power amplifiers job is to take the line level voltage signal from the pre-amp and convert it faithfully to a high level voltage & current that is capable of driving the speaker system (typically 4 or 8 ohm impedance). The “perfect” amplifier would be transparent, that is to say, the output would be an exact amplified replication of the input with out any change to phase relationship, harmonics, transient response or frequency response. Alas, the “perfect” amplifier doesn’t exist !
The amplifiers I construct are as “perfect” as I can get them. All the designs are based on proven class B amplifier topology and have been “fine tuned” using state of the art circuit simulation software and in house testing. Also available is overload protection (both thermal and current) plus various add ons such as clipping detection, soft start ccts, speaker protection systems, etc.. All the parts used in the construction are selected for quality, performance and durability to ensure maximum performance over the life of the amplifier.
